What do you do when your head feels saturated?

Sometimes, no matter how much you love what you do, it can feel like you are trying to process so much information that there is no room for anything else in your head.

What do you do when that happens?

Do you keep ploughing on?

Or do you take a break?

Even if you’re on a tight deadline, walking away for 5 minutes makes a world of difference to your productivity and effectiveness. Not to mention your stress levels.

When I need time out I use 3 simple strategies;

1. Move. Any way, any how and away from where I currently am.

2. Connect with nature.  In any way I can, stepping outside if possible and going for a walk if time allows.

3. Breathe. Slowly and deeply, in through my nose and out through my mouth focusing on every individual in-breath and out-breath.

I find taking these 3 steps makes a huge difference.
